Celebrities to hit the red carpet for Lion Ark London Gala
This Saturday (December 6th) special guests including Bill Oddie, Alexei Sayle, Gillian McKeith, Celia Hammond, X Factor boyband Fifth Street and Bollywood actress Sofia Hayat will be hitting the red carpet for the West End Gala screening of LION ARK. Director Tim Phillips and Producer Jan Creamer will hold a Q&A session after the film, which will be followed by a fundraiser at Ruby Blue Bar opposite the cinema.
LION ARK has picked up six awards since bursting onto the international film festival circuit at Raindance in London. The film has also been nominated for “Outstanding International Motion Picture” in the prestigious NAACP Image Awards – recognising civil rights issues in the arts.
Action adventure style documentary LION ARK follows the journey of 25 lions from suffering to freedom through live action interviews, in the moment as events unfold. Tim and Jan led the incredible lion rescue mission in Bolivia and have just returned from a similar mission in Peru – this time rescuing 30 lions, nine monkeys and many other animals. Funds raised from the evening will go towards the mission.
