Lion Ark screened in secondary schools across Italy

The Italian version of Lion Ark is being shown in secondary schools across Italy, thanks to the organization LAV.

Documenting how Animal Defenders International (ADI) tracked down illegal circuses in Bolivia and saved the animals, helping enforce the country’s ban, Lion Ark will be helping to focus attention on Italy’s new law to phase out all animal acts.

The film has been promoted by the Ministry for Education, University and Research, among other activities, in a letter to all of his local offices.

Passed in November, ADI was proud to support the launch of the phase-out bill, Lion Ark premiering in the country during a special workshop organised by LAV in the Italian Senate.

Italy has an estimated 100 circuses with some 2,000 animals, and rules for implementation of the phase out are expected to be published by the government soon.
